Cant see visitors and soooo many fake profiles

You guys took away a key feature of being able to see who viewed my profile , and gave bs reasoning behind it. You guys get a thumbs down from me. The app is no longer any good without that function.

Theres nothing more to say. This feature was very useful in knowing who was interested in me or who was ghosting me.

Unfortunately, OkCupid has removed the ability to see who has visited your profile. The harassing messages from guys is insane. Matches are typically no good. Etc etc

Way too many fake profiles and now the visited is gone which was a great feature lets people know if someone was interested.

For a guy, online dating is already a difficult process. We have to fight against so many other men, put enormous effort into our profiles and messages to stand out, and even then there is no promise we will find someone. Even worse, most men were forced into situations on dating sites to have to pay to continue using these sites, simply because we have so much competition. OkCupid was able to excel above other dating sites by allowing people to see who visited your page, or turn it off to browse incognito. It was a saving grace compared to other dating sites which required you to pay just to know who even LOOKED at you. But now, the "geniuses" behind OkCupid have decided to remove that feature, putting it in their "A list" paid subscription service. So now people like me not only dont know who liked us without paying, but now dont even know who visited us without paying?! Its bad enough women generally dont message first, but now its almost impossible to find a match without paying. This is already on top of spammy ads, mind you. And the worst part is the devs response to this. Their official response that you can read to multiple reviews in complaint to this is that now people can browse incognito, with visitors removed. EXCEPT THAT WAS LITERALLY AN OPTION WE ALREADY HAD! There was literally a button you could press to browse incognito in your settings, if you didnt want to show up in peoples visitors section. And the devs have the GALL to try and claim removing a feature was for a new feature that was already in the site. I cannot believe how downhill this app has gone. Its almost like they want to get rid of their customers, in order to make a very short term buck. Shame on you, OkCupid. Shame on you.

This was such a good app but I think I will have to find a competitor. Now I cant see who visits me? How will I be able to see the shy people who visit my profile and dont want to message! Those are the main people who are interested that I just have to message first! Now everything else you have to pay for and the paid features arent all that great. Waste.

Once again OKC shows us its being ran by morons who love to take away features. This time they took away the ability to see visitors. Yeah. Thats right. Now if someone visits your profile youll never ever know it. At least not on the app. Havent even bothered to check the site, but Im sure theyll wipe that away soon enough also. Dont get me wrong, OKC. Ive seen in other comments youve replied to WHY you did that. I get it. What YOU people dont seem to get is you slowly but surely take away so much of the fun that goes with using this app. Its gone from being vastly superior to the competition, to a hair above more tolerable than the rest. At best. First you took away the ability to search by diet. As a vegan this was HUGE to me and the #1 reason I started using the app to begin with. You said less than 1% of people used that feature so you cut it. And then said you can search by questions if youre an A-List member. A) thanks for gouging me. B) NOT THE SAME, dude. Not the same. At. All. Not everyone answers the same questions. But I found out for the most part other vegans would state themselves as one, thus it was much easier (aka FUN) to search for someone similar by diet. Now you take away visitors. ??‍♂️ Again, I get the WHY. And I retort by telling you its FUN when you get a visitor. Its FUN when you get a ton at a time. Its a G** D*** ego boost! For me its resulted in me contacting a woman I may have not contacted before. Yeah it didnt work out, but we ended up going out at least once. All because she peeked, I saw she peeked and said hello. HOW DO YOU PEOPLE RUN A DATING SITE AND NOT GET THIS?? DATING SHOULD BE FUN AND YOU PEOPLE ARE MAKING IT ANYTHING BUT.

I feel like this was a very good app. Easy to find people, easy to show interest in someone and relatively well laid out but I am very disappointed with their recent decision to take away the list of people who viewed their profile. Their reasoning was that people would not click on a profile because they didnt want to show up in this list but that doesnt make sense. There was an option to browse invisibly. If someone doesnt want to be on this list let them continue to browse invisibly. It still sends me a little message "this person and several others viewed your page" but doesnt let me see the names. It is incredibly frustrating. I am disappointed the app developers chose to take this valuable resource away from us. It also served, for me anyway, as a small way to see when someone was looking at my profile over and over and over so I could block them. Now I have no way to know if someone is showing too much interest. I feel less safe using this app now. Hopefully they decide to bring it back and I will happily change my review.

This site is pretty much useless now that I cant see who visited me. 99% of my matches were made this way. They have this BS excuse that now invisible browsing is free, but that is not a desirable feature for me and knowing who visited is much more valuable. What is the point of hiding on an online dating site?

You have forced the user to pay for the upgrade to have any level of visibility. Removing The Who views me stuff is stupid. Such a shame. Deleted the profile and the app today. Its pretty bad when you make POF seem like a real winner.

Steadily removing every good feature of this application, until no one wants to use it anymore. Alert message: Xyz and 6 others visited your profile! User: oh cool! Ill click on this and check out their profiles and maybe meet someone new! Alert message: womp womp! Sorry, we dont allow you to see that anymore, because of some bs reason that we want people to go check out more profiles, even though this would be one of the best ways to do that. Have fun!

Always saying mail is invalid. what kind of mail this app need ?

My Fiancé and I are both being impersonated on this app and I have reported both profiles. Sent messages to their team to help us bring down these fake profiles that are messaging co workers of ours and no one has cared to address our issues. For that alone 1 star.

Ok I like the concept of this app. But as a blind individual who uses this app it is very hard to navigate it. The tabs are not even labeled. I really hope they make this app accessible! Also really? Paying for extra features like to see who likes you?

Taking away Visitors was utterly moronic. How can anyone write to someone if theres no way to actually see who youre writing? This doesnt encourage writing, it amplifies the disposable nature of dating cause that one person viewing can be the one you wanna talk to

I really dont like the new notification system. I preferred the older one where i knew who messaged me. Now i have a random notification message :(

Cant really fault it but could have a few more categories to support alt lifestyle and poly people.
