No more visited you

In an obvious attempt to force people to get A-list, now we cant see who visited us. Im not sure the Apps worth using anymore, that was something that I used to make connection. Edit: canned response with a link we cant even follow in app? And now its down to one. How low can you stand to go, OKC? Because were not stupid. We used the visitors to see if that like notification we got was related to the person who viewed us. It was so we could know who to talk to and if they were worth a look. Now its just a big open space and we dont know who may have visited or liked us. But you took away too much of the functionality of the app to try to force A-List on us. And it wont work

OKCupid is way less than OK

Response to developer response: What a tired and, honestly, an extremely useless canned response. Glad to know you dont need to earn money for a continually worsening app. Tell me how many reviews have you received since this last update, that reviewers are 5 star happy with you for removing one of the best features, seeing who visited" profiles of the "old" version? None, I am guessing. Ive not found one yet anyway. If there are Pervs afraid to visit a profile, then they are not serious relationship material and should find a sleazier dating app. This was a great app until Aug 1st. Revised 08/07/2017 I wrote a review a few years ago. The app was great. NOW, however, in the latest version, the decision to remove "whose visited" a profile make this app much less than even 1 star. What a stupid decision. Being a paid member was worth it as noted at the bottom of this updated review. Im canceling my subscription and doing away with this app until someone of better insight and brains add back features removed. Here is another stunning example of turning gold into sh**. Way to go... Original review 07/01/2014 Ive found and dated a couple great guys. I really like the questions used to find personal matches

Sad

OkCupid was a good app but considering they have now removed the visitors option so you can no longer see visitors but you can now be a paying member to see who likes you. Sad that OKCupid did this but they will tell you its awesome they did this. Goodbye OkCupid. In response to your response OkCupid: browsing invisibly is not an option that I care for. Also, browsing invisibly is far from a trade off from losing The Whos visited your profile. Truly sad.

Does not meet its potential, technically or strategically

Features and interface vary frustratingly across platforms. I found the app to be limiting enough that I frequently switched to the website. Even there, however, users will find the rug being pulled out from under them with some regularity. Search settings are difficult to adjust on the app. Photo-viewing is flaky. Navigation is unpredictable. Customer service is brusque and uncomprehending.

Worst update in 5 years of using app

How to go from a 5 star app to a 1 star app? Simple, remove everything great about it and rebrand it as better. Well its not better and the guy who suggested the changes needs to be fired.

Invisible browsing does nothing when you have to PAY TO SEE LIKES!

Edit: got such a stock response that the email I received for it didnt even have the text; it just showed a bunch of hyperlinks. And the actual link in the response was to the blog post that Ive already read and really didnt help. Youd think theyd realise NOBODY liked this change and seeing visitors was actually a fairly good feature (you can gauge a persons interest in you a lot easier when you know theyve looked at your profile; likes dont do that) It doesnt matter. Ive already deactivated my account, though I doubt Im coming back. They apparently removed visitors due to people not liking showing up on others pages. If I remember correctly, they had it built in that in their premium service one could pay to browse invisibly already, so this seems like an extreme non issue, not to mention what were left with (the "likes" system) isnt even accessible UNLESS you pay making OkCupid essentially just on the same level as most of the other subscription dating sites (well, at least they still allow free messaging, I guess but they really have been removing features for awhile now and Im seriously debating just trying my luck in the real world because of it)

Best Darin app EVER created!!

It shows your connection % and has questions that you can compare answers to. I cant believe it took me 31 years to find this thing lol

i couldnt get past check box

I couldnt get past the checkbox to say that youre not a robot. Hire some real iOS engineers..

Ive meet good peeps!

Although still in my search for love I have met really good people from this site. Its about as best as you can get without having background screen. They match you percentage wise with the other person to give you a realistic view of who you might be a good match for you. And they are right. They match you based on questions they have and you can answer as many as youd like to make better matches for yourself. Or you can just look and like and message. As easy as that.

Great App, Questions need improvement

This app is great for people like me who need to know a lot about a person before being comfortable approaching them in a potentially romantic or sexual capacity. My main criticisms concern the questions: 1) there are way too many of them, 2) a lot of them are binary- and/or monogamy-reinforcing, and 3) a fair number of them are totally pointless and have no bearing on whether I should match with someone, while, at the same time, a fair few legitimately useful potential questions are missing—for instance, "Do you enjoy swimming?" Seriously, how is that not one of the first few dozen "lifestyle" questions?

Newest update is really disappointing.

I understand OKCupids desire to make more money, but I cannot understand the decision to remove the sections where you can look at who viewed you as well as who you recently viewed. This really changes my whole outlook and experience of this app/site from positive to negative. If this does not come back, I will be deactivating my account. I am looking to expand my social circle, and you cannot do that without seeing who is looking at you and who youve already checked out.

The app is getting worse with every update.

Over the months theyve continued to make updates which devalue it. Every update they take away options. Pretty soon itll be pay-per-signup.

So much better than Match . Com !

This website is so easy to maneuver. It gives you so many options to upgrade or just keep it simple. One of my favorite options is if you go out on a date , after the date you cannot tell if that date is back on the website looking for somebody else. I just got back on after a long break. Moved from one city to another wherever I am I can find companionship.

Ruined it overnight

Removing visited you and calling it getting invisible browsing for free is an amusing way to put it. You want people to pay for seeing their likes and didnt like how I would see one new person has liked you.. and then one person has visited me.. and put 2 and 2 together. Dont mask your attempts at trying to get more people to pay by removing features and pretending we got something like invisible browsing for free... did I say I wanted invisible browsing? No.. no I didnt Have spent some money here and there in the app but there is no point now.. good job at losing my money

Now I banning you OK

What?! I get a notification that I will become banned if I send inappropriate messages. I havent even sent one in a month! When I have its always been very respectful. Then you take away "viewed you"?! With all the other new dating app options out there, you have become the new "Match" an old money hungry dinosaur.

It is a good site

It is a good site but I have not met anyone yet. But I like that you can get to know people.

Took Away Visitors

They took away the best feature of their site. Bye Felicia.

Review

I liked okc better in 2012 seemed like more people actually went on dates back then... online dating has lost its luster in many areas and isnt as popular as it used to be .

Great app BUT

The app is great and its a great way to meet new people BUT there needs to be a "select all" option for the messages and drop the price for A-List

Pretty Straight Forward

Its a dating app with some perks like being able to find people with certain interest or keywords but theres only one thing Ive been having trouble with. I dont know if anyone else is having this problem but the app wont let me upload any new pictures despite a having only 4. Ill uninstall its to see if it helps but other than that its good if youre just getting into the dating scene ;) Edit: lowering my rating to a two because of the removal of visitors. That was a good way to gauge who may or may not have an interest in you. And now you can comment on pictures and profiles. Wow.
